Newspaper on Copenhagen YIP Trip
Sweden's largest newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, has published an article on the YIP participants' journey to COP15.

The article is written by Dagens Nyheter's climate journalist Jan Malmborg, who has interviewed the YIP 2009–2010 participants Samuel Mirkin (South Africa), Matthew Pike (United Kingdom), Jonas Darin (Sweden), and Phoebe Philips (Australia).
The first paragraph reads: "They will hitchhike and ride train. They will sleep on the floor in a school. They will meet other likeminded people from all over the world. And in the streets and squares of Copenhagen they will tell about the climate threat. The youth at the Folk High School course Youth Initiative Program in Järna are preparing as best as they can for the journey to the climate summit in Copenhagen."
The article also points out that the goal for the participants is not only to demonstrate: They will help renovate a youth house. Samuel Mirkin states that "in demonstrations you only put forward demands for what others should do. I want to be responsible myself and show that a climate friendly life is about consciousness, not fear and sacrifices."
