New YIP Staff

In 2007 a group of about 30 international friends sat together and imagined starting a training for 18-25 year olds who want to bring their own initiative into the world. An education that would enable them to confidently find their unique contribution and bring renewal to the future they are living into. This meeting bore the International Youth Initiative Program (YIP). A smaller group of people took on the task to bring this initiative down with a commitment to have it run for a trial period of three years.

Welcome to the fourth year! In April 2011 the Initiative Forum took place with a group of about 100 international friends of YIP sitting together and looking at the future of YIP. Many rich contributions and ideas about many different aspects of YIP where shared, and a strong intention for the next three years was born. We are excited by the changes that have already taken place for this fourth year and hope to keep you updated with the development here in the YIP Newsletter!

This fourth certainly feels new to those of us in the Organizing Team. After a huge and most vital contribution over the first 3 years, our dear Ani Hanelius has returned home to Austin Texas to begin a new chapter in her life. We are delighted to welcome Pieter Ploeg as the first person to take on this role as a new organizer. Pieter is bringing a huge amount of energy and initiative and we are excited to have him here. 

Another change that is very new is the role of Volunteers in the Organizing Team. This term we welcome Sebastian Witstock and Alexander Zeiher supporting and implementing initiatives in the House Parent role and the PR and Communications with their 50% volunteer positions with YIP.
